Save money
Compare setup quotes without getting caught by hidden extras
Two incorporation packages can have similar names and very different contents. The useful comparison is the cost of reaching the same working position: a registered entity, the permissions you need, access to its records and a clear plan for ongoing compliance. Ask each provider to quote against your own list rather than comparing marketing headlines.
Separate three kinds of cost
Create columns for official charges, the provider’s professional fees and payments to third parties. Ask whether taxes, currency conversion and payment fees are included. A provider may reasonably charge for administration, but that fee should not be presented as money demanded by the government. Ask for official receipts where available.
Compare the first year and the next year
Record registration, address, secretary or representative services, accounting, annual filings and renewals separately. Establish when each subscription starts and what happens after any introductory discount. A low initial fee can still be economical, but only if you understand the later commitments and the cost of leaving.
Use a worked comparison
Illustration only: Package A costs 400 units upfront and 900 in annual services; Package B costs 700 upfront and 300 annually. Their first-year totals are 1,300 and 1,000 before other expenses. These are invented figures, not market prices. The comparison only works if both packages cover the same work and time period.
Put it into practice
- Request a written, itemised quotation.
- List every optional item as optional.
- Ask about rejected applications and rework.
- Check renewal dates, notice periods and transfer charges.
Your next step
Send the same requirements to each shortlisted provider and compare line by line. Leave an allowance for unresolved items rather than treating them as zero.
